The latest Dayton Ohio News, as well for many other cities who are sharing this story, shows that after a year-long investigation, there has been criminal charges filed against 72 suspects who participated in what was called one of the biggest regional drug networks the county has ever dealt with. The Dayton Ohio News outlets revealed that the investigation centered in Wilmington and spread all the way to Dayton, OH. Authorities have reported to be holding 40 of the 72 charged suspects, but are still searching for more than 30 of the rest of them. There were tons and tons of illicit contraband that was seized in the bust, including: heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, fentanyl, weapons, and unspecified amounts of money (most likely from the illicit drug trafficking).

Dayton Ohio News Reports Found Head Of Drug Ring

It has been reported that a Fairborn man was head of the “Marlena Park Gang”: Phillip Davis, 32. Not only was Davis the head of the meth and heroin trafficking, but as well as welfare fraud. The investigation reports that food stamps were sold for fifty cents on the dollar just to buy drugs. The Marlena Park Gang’s name originated from a park located in Wilmington, which is where David grew up, called Southeast Park. Local authorities took action and called for extra assistance once word caught on about the increase of heroin use, and after experiencing a 632% increase in drug overdose related calls and tragedies in the past 18 months. What’s alarming is, which was reported by Dayton Ohio News, that the targets and suspects whom were charged in the investigation allegedly “bragged” about the quality of their heroin, and told their customers that it admittedly killed people. There will be more charges in the future according to court officials in Clinton County; this is only just the start of a major drug trafficking take down for the state of Ohio.
